A recent unfortunate dating experience reminded me of a danger sign when dealing with people. Be it personal or business, beware the person that tells you how they are. I.e.:

I'm honest.
I'm nice.
I'm fair

Etc.

Usually this person will repeat it often as though it's a mantra. It's my belief these people are trying to convince themselves more so than you. These people tend to be exactly the opposite of their claims. Avoid them. No good will come of your association with them.

Anybody who tries to over qualify themselves like that has a hidden agenda for sure.

People who KNOW deep down inside that they are honest do not try to convince others nor try to get others to believe it.

The person you describe comes off as a diseased liar who manipulates others. These people are usually con artists or some of the worst romantic partners.

Being able to identify these kinds of red flags in humans is very important when choosing people for both relationships and Fastlane activities.
