I have always wondered why there isn't a Target-style Made in the USA store. I think that if people were given the choice to either buy goods from China vs. goods from the US - and the costs were fairly similar, I would imagine that people would buy US, especially considering the growing anger over jobs being shipped overseas money flying out the door of the US. I know that it's a crazy idea, but after looking up US manufacturers for various products, I believe that it could be possible in more affluent areas (certainly not rural Kentucky or something like that, but more like where Whole Foods has stores) as the price difference between US and Chinese goods is not a huge as I thought it was for low to mid ticket items.

Whole Foods has done very well in afluent areas selling to people with money the idea that they are paying more for higher quality. Why couldn't a store with the size of Target do something similar?
