I think I may have a small case of staff theft at my store. Anyone ever installed a hidden camera to deal with it?

It's almost not worth it, but it would be nice to confront her and ask why, especially when I've done a lot for her. It's not happening at the cash register, but I think it's going on in areas of the store which aren't covered by cameras. I won't prosecute her (although I will fire her), but I think I'll just get denials unless I show her some videotape.

I was thinking of installing an existing video camera (camcorder) inside a cardboard box (mobile, free, good quality) so I can move it around. I'll probably test this out within the next few days.

Have you guys and girls got any experience with this? How did it turn out for you?
