One of my co-workers is from Burma (now called Myanmar) and he is working to get donations for relief efforts in his country.
I'd asked him to please let me know if he knew of any organization involved on cyclone relief fundraising.
Today he sent me info about this organization http://www.mingalarama.org/ so I was looking for ways to verify the authenticity of this place and they seem to check, although they seem to be more like a religious group rather than a non-profit for helping victims of disasters.
I'd like to get some advice on how to verify that they will indeed use the donations to help people back in their country, but couldn't come up with pretty much anything, when googled them it seems the facts do back them up. Any advice will be appreciated.
