With my money I was going to buy cafes, but now that food prices are soaring, e.g. 25+% over the last year, I am thinking that it would be a very bad idea to get in. If food prices rise at this rate for 3 years, and I can only raise my prices in low single digit percentages each year, then I would be losing money in the third year. With such pessimism, I wouldn't be able to offer purchase prices that anyone would accept either.
Doesn't look like developing countries are going to start undeveloping any time soon. I need to get out of the habit of thinking about this industry. What do you guys think?
