Buying established business

I'm looking for established business so I can become business owner instead of Self Employee. Does it has to be Absentee owner while there's already managers running the business?

Do anyone have any experience doing this before?

What are the positive or negative doing this?

I thought it would be easy to do and less risk after researching financial statements and records for past 5 years and see where it can lead to the future.
