Buying a parked domain from GoDaddy. How'd you do it?

Hi,
I found a domain that I am interested to buy is parked on GoDaddy site. For some previous bad experience, I really do not like to deal with GoDaddy but I want this domain badly. I am trying to contact the owner but GoDaddy is hiding its name behind a paywall and asking for $70.00 upfront +10% commission of the transaction price.

So how'd you attack the problem? What would be the best steps to approach this issue?
Thanks.

These are really your only options:
Visit DomainTools.com and check the domain's WhoIs information for the registrant's email and contact them through that.
If contact info is blocked through privacy protect, you have to deal with the GD marketplace platform. I don't know what your experience with them was, but they efficiently handle many transactions per day. You can always transfer the domain out of your GoDaddy account and into your registrar of choice after you've purchased it.

Thank you very much. It seems there are few options available and going through godaddy route is the only fast and less cumbersome way.

When's the domain going to expire? I have successfully backordered a domain before, which essentially means I scored it for $20.

Didn't we just have a topic about this recently?

Anyway, other than Whois, try the Wayback Machine to view the site when it was still up - you might get lucky and spot contact details published on the site.
