To be able to learn programming, I think it will take you a long time. But maybe it's worth it.

I.T skills like programming would be awesome, but I think that you sound quite impatient and desperate due your past experience. Truth is, programming requires some kind of patience before you'd start seeing significant results.

I'll suggest you start with softer, simpler skills that would probably get you back on your feet, put some money in your pocket, and then you can go after programming when you're more stable. (Say 5-6months later).

Some soft and simple skills I'll recommend would include data entry, content creation, social media management, helping people edit and redesign their YouTube videos, writing YouTube scripts, etc.

You can find Virtual assistant positions, and apply. You can also work as a High Ticket closer. Just make a search on all these, start with them, gain stability, then you can now transition into what you really want to do, which is I.T.

My 2 cents.

Welcome to the forum.

Record this as an important, turning point in your life.

Life is a process. Focus on that. What can I do now, today, this month, that will make me be there by the next so and so years or months.

If you really want to learn programming, I commend you for it. You must have a why for it. I don't know how strong it is.

Learning programming is a process. A taxing one. You need a strong why.

I hope you have read MJ's books and know exactly what Fastlane means.

The only reason you should learn programming is that it can take you Fastlane. There are many other things you may learn here. Others will tell you as you interact. And you will see suggestions in other people's threads. Savour them all and apply.

Compounding habits, knowledge, skills, and capacity is the greatest compounding anyone may ever experience. Take advantage of it.

Thanks for reading.

I am not advertising. I am suggesting, recommending below.

There is a free online software engineering course for those in Africa below 35 offered by ALX. Check it out. They are currently admitting students for it to start the next cohort in February.

I am also doing the same course.

It is a 12 month full-time course demanding 70 hours of your week.

But man you may solve your problem of learning programming by only clicking away.

Sorry to hear about your predicament...

The online market is tough, no doubt, but then again - what isn't? Nowadays, IT skills are in high demand and I'm pretty certain that you'll be able to find gigs consistently once you learn your craft. I wouldn't know the best way to master them, but as the other members pointed out, there are plenty of online classes to choose from. Alas, you'll enter a shifting landscape, so it's best to build the right mindset from the start. That means being at peace with the fact that you'll have to spend more in the future to upgrade your portfolio.

That said, I don't see the digital marketing "universe" going out of flair anytime soon. Even if you got burned, you shouldn't stop poking around. We see new concepts make waves in the B2B/SaaS scene, and I'm not talking only about chatGPT here. Yet, it's an example as good as any of how quickly things can turn to a wholly different course ecommerce-wise...

So, no need to get discouraged or feel lost. You're 25 - you got this!

You can find some ideas here https://www.publish0x.com/simple-so...-micro-business-by-a-person-with-some-xnnqroz

Instead of focusing on skills, which may be obsolete soon focus on solving painful (to businesses and consumers) problems.

Hey there, I understand where you're coming from and I can relate to your situation. Like you, I also found myself feeling lost and unsure of what to do after a difficult experience. But here's the thing, it's never too late to start learning new skills and pursuing your passions. I know learning to program can seem daunting, but trust me, it's definitely achievable with dedication and hard work.

I'm also in a similar situation, I started learning to program about 8 months ago, but I quickly realized that No Code tools can be a game changer for building a SAAS or any sort of online business without programming knowledge. It really depends on your intention of learning to program. If you're looking to build your own software, website, or app, then programming is definitely the way to go. But, if you're looking to launch your business faster, then No Code is definitely worth considering.

Now, I have to be honest with you, I'm still learning myself and figuring things out. But I've found that the key is to always be seeking new knowledge and advice. I believe with the right guidance and support, you can achieve your goals. And hey, if you have any questions or need advice, this forum is a great place to get it. So don't give up, take the first step, and start exploring the world of No Code. You'll be surprised how much you can accomplish

You need to take a job to support yourself to buy food, rent a room or two, cloth yourself, and other basics. This kind of job is here called foundational job.

Meanwhile you may learn a skill and offer to do something for someone who needs some work to get done. Check out MJ's video on starting without money.

It should be in the high value section.

Programming is a specialised skill that you may easily turn to a specialised unit which you can sell.
