Isn't the path a negotiation takes interested.......initially everyone is giddy and everything is rosy, then due diligence goes full swing and things become guarded and defensive, then final talks begin and people start the 'that wasn't in the deal', everyone comes to the final table and cutthroat attacks one another to the point the deal is about to fall through, then someone calms everyone down and gets them to agree to a midroad deal that makes everyone unhappy and distrustful from now on.

Am in the middle of acquiring the assets of one company to start a new one. We are in the 'that wasn't in the deal' stage and it becomes very aggrivating. Everyone thinks they were the one that was being clear. Have to keep cool heads and keep people talking.
