This thread's purpose is threefold:
  • To keep myself accountable for reading these books
  • To encourage myself to read more
  • To review the books I've read so that the person reading this thread right now can get an opinion on each book, and maybe save them some time if the book was for crap.

Books I've read so far in 2024:
  1. Mere Christianity, by C.S. Lewis
  2. The Millionaire Fastlane , by the man himself lol
Books I am currently reading
  1. The Silmarillion, J.R.R. Tolkien
  2. Unscripted , M.J. DeMarco
  3. TGRRE , M.J. DeMarco
  4. Speechless, Michael Knowles
  5. The 4-Hour Workweek, Timothy Ferriss
  6. Million Dollar Weekend, Noah Kagan
  7. Your Next Five Moves, Patrick Bet-David
  8. The Once and Future Roman Rite, Peter Kwasniewski
See my reviews of each finished book below.
(I won't be writing a review of M.J.'s books. If you are here on this forum, I shouldn't need to convince you. But obviously I thought TMF was great because here I am.)

Godspeed

Book: Mere Christianity
Author: C.S. Lewis
Rating: 5/5

Great book. It's a "must read" if you are Christian. Lewis offers a fantastic insight into very basic points of the Christian faith (hence the "Mere" in the title) such as Natural Law, the principle of why we believe in Christ, and a straightforward understanding of the different virtues and vices. He drops some truth bombs that I'm sure modern day Christians would find shocking, but are, in reality, fundamental Christian teaching.
