Book and Whiteboard Videos goes into app development

Dear community,

I have a business idea based on a book of mine that hasn’t been published yet, and, in a nutshell, it involves creating whiteboard explanations videos. I went ahead and tested this idea using the CENTS method.

S – Scalability would be a given; for example, publishing the videos in other languages.

T – Once created, the videos can reach tens of millions of people around the clock. Just like the book.

N – I’ll assume the usefulness and the need for now.

E – The videos and the book are my own creations and cannot be easily copied.

C – well, this is where it gets tricky. I’d be reliant on the YouTube platform for distribution and have no control over it. Perhaps over time I could also set up my own website where all the videos are hosted, maybe even with my own brand, but initially I’d be stuck with YouTube.
Or is YouTube okay as a stepping stone?
