Every morning I head into Starbucks to consume enough expresso to overcome my hatred for my job. Today, however, something was different. 12 feet from the door stood a competing coffee stand, operated by one guy. It looked like an old school lemonade stand. I snapped this horrible picture:

Watching for a few minutes, he was getting good traffic! This was a great illustration of the value skews:

1: Cut the price; there's still a margin after you slash Starbucks' ridiculous price.
2: Customer Service; people dont like to wait in a grueling line just to get coffee. Those that value their time don't have to.

Just thought I'd share an offline example.

- Cheers
