Hey All....
Better late than never I suppose. Maybe I should read a few of these first, but I've never been one to mince words / censor my thoughts. I decided to join the forum after I had met a few folks in other places that were having great successes and referenced this forum. I want to be the member of a group that includes smart, like minded people with similar goals. I've always had the dream to reach financial independence through entrepreneurship. Specifically I want to achieve multi-millions. I've read and studied. What I realized is that I need a circle, mentors and above all to take action. I've just never taken enough action. I've gone the career route and even been one of the best. My findings have shown a path full of politics, making other people rich and trading time for money. That's not to say going to work for the right mentor wouldn't be a wonderful thing, but most of us aren't doing that. I'd like to say I'm achieving my dreams in my 20s or 30s, but sometimes life isn't the race we think it is. It took a long time to find the wife of my dreams. She's a hottie that is 12 years younger and I found her when I literally had nothing. We've played the rat race and had each others back for 6 years of marriage and done okay. I'm almost 1/3 to half the way to $1M in saved money during that time. Far cry from the $3K I had 6 years ago. It's just that utter frugality, working like a dog for someone else that doesn't reward you with knowledge/growth is demoralizing. No hope is a desolate path. So not only have I always had a deep yearning for success as an entrepreneur.... I've decided it's my only path. I have to create my future. No job title or anything else will do it. I've been working on a service based website on the side for 12 months and hope to launch it this year. I expect good traffic and to monetize via ads and products. I saw a model several years ago and think I found a niche to apply it to. I'd like to also get into affiliate / amazon sales. Anyways, look forward to making new friends and helping each other out!
