So, I joined a few months ago, but never did an official introduction and for that I apologize. So, here goes.
Male, 42, Atlanta Ga.
Graduated college in 1996 with an Information Systems degree. Started my first Internet company in 1998. Failed. Went to work in the corporate world build web apps using ASP. Did that for a year and then went contract. Road the .COM boom up to $75/hr job which I thought was great for a kid a few years out of college.
Left that racket in 2001 to take a small ownership in a transaction processing company. We eventually sold that business and made a decent chunk of change.
Got back into IM starting an eCommerce store in 2006. Started from zero and grew it to a 220K/month business. Sold that in 2010 for an even bigger chunk of change.
2011 went into lead gen for financial institutions, which I still do to this day. Between 2006 and now I have done pretty much everything from building sites, writing copy, PPC, social media, email marketing, etc. If it's related to IM I have done it.
Currently, I do some high level consulting for big companies and also run my Internet business where I dabble in many different markets. I am looking to expand into other areas, preferably offline where I can use my skills to dominate a market.
And although I have made a lot of money by most peoples' standards, I haven't reached the point where the money has been life changing.
I joined because I realize that I still have so much to learn and I want to surround myself with individuals who share the same mindset that I possess.
In short, I look forward to helping where I can, absorbing knowledge where I can and moving forward in this wonderful journey we call life!
