Hi i have a decent amount of websites that i have built for companies (all sub contracted) i don't know much about it, but i'm paying about $5 or $6 per month each persons website to be hosted.
They are paying for it, i am marking it up also, but is there any other reliable companies cheaper? I never got into hosting, i do not know much about it just went to go daddy and paid the $6 per month, it really adds up though when you look at my account with everyone's hosting accounts in it.
Also these are for small businesses php websites needing the min space, a few pic maybe 50mb worth that's about it.

If you're going to be expanding and hosting a lot of sites -- Why don't you look into having the phone company run a high speed line into your home, and using your own server to host? Seems like once you recover the initial hardware costs, you will be increasing your profits substantially over time.

If you don't want to manage your own hardware -- There seems to be a lot of companies offering your own virtual server online these days also, where you can host an unlimited # of sites, etc for a set fee per month. Cloud computing is the new "thing" -- I'd look into it!

Cheers,

i have always been intimidated with getting my own server, i do not know much about how it works so there goes the help support, i have also been into a ton of small businesses smacking their server saying cmon you son of a b****. My last issue would be hackers, i have heard that having your own server you run a security risk (not saying it is true, its just what i heard). The more i learn i will look into it, again i have never got into how hosting, ftp, dns, all that is new to me.

I rent my server with a full support team. If I have any issues I can't handle, I contact them they are on it like stink on poop. Usually in under 20 minutes. My server very rarely ever goes down. I think it went down once last year for about 10 minutes. I can offer you a resellers package for a good price. Then if you have any issues you can shoot me an email. If I can't handle your problems I have a support team behind me.

If not, that's ok. Good luck... Let us know how it turns out.
