Has anyone had success or failure in using social media (FB) to generate automotive sales &/or credit leads? If so, please share the good & bad. Thanks ~John C.

You see, the use of social media for lead generation is not a black and white thing. It is up to you on what methods you use. Generating leads from social media websites is only a medium that you use so you can reach out to areas where your prospects "hang around" on the web. Of course, the rate of success or failure will be dependent on how well you have built your relationship with people in your network and what value you can offer them. So, you need to think about these aspects more carefully.

social media websites are like charity events and parties, you need to hand out your card... b.s with people, and walk away.. not try to sell. I think its good for big brands that want to get brand awareness/recognition out there more. FB im sure generated leads but things like twitter i think are more of a hang out.
