Does anyone know anything about this?
since there isnt much work around here one of the prominent ads in the help wanted sections are various jobs that the national guard offers.
we have a question I was hoping to get answered before the recruiter calls.
My husband is an auto mechanic. he is thinking of entering as a light wheel car/truck mechanic. obviously this may change if and when he takes his assesment tests.(he could possibly go officer)
he is all for joining his only concern is that he will be called to duty in a war zone and being that he will be a mechanic he will be stuck in a car pool without a weapon to defend himself.
I thought, and I could be totally wrong, that every soldier reguardless of their occupation, was issued a weapon.
does anyone know for sure?
