LOL! I heard on the news this morning that a public school in Ohio asked for some of the TARP money, but Paulsen rejected their request saying the $700B was to go ONLY to financial institutions.

ahh the beauty of capitalism- gotta love it when those who make millions in investment banking have enough power over the economy as a whole that when they make failed investments or poor decisions instead of having to pay the piper, which in their case would mean using THEIR OWN money(salaries, bonuses, pensions, savings, investments, etc) they petition the gov't under the threat that the economy itself will collapse if they don't get this bailout money and oh did we mention that those same taxpayers who provided this bailout money can then get it back from the banks, but in the form of a loan with interest, that the banks profit from, not the original lenders, the taxpayers :p

now if only the banks had to fill out a credit app like that as well as abide by terms that if they default they have to pay the taxpayers a default interest rate and penalties as well as have it go on THEIR credit report/score then it would be fair :smxB:
