small update:
Had a technical hurdle i couldn't easily surpass so i shelved the project, but now a plugin is coming out for my software of choice which solves that hurdle, so now I'm confident i can personally develop this app from start to finish. Maybe it won't be perfect and it might take some time, but I know i'll have the skills and tools to do it.
Speaking of time, I'm not making the same "leap of faith" i've done for the past 4.5 years with my apps and stuff, basically not validating and just spending months working on something just for it to be a total dud.
I just spent 2 hours sending a validation email or message to 35 businesses who my app will target. I just found a public list of business venues, and went to their websites one by one, found a contact method and contacted them.
Also made a spreadsheet to keep track of this shit lol
The email describes the app idea and value proposition, and requests a reply in case of interest as well as any feedback to help tailor the app to their needs. I made sure to eliminate all fluff and needless words. If i learned anything from copywriting advice on this forum is, keep it simple stupid, say what the app does clearly and concisely and how it will help their business.
If i don't get a reasonable number of replies, i mean shit at least 5-10 man... then i won't even bother starting this app.
