I just bought a home (in a different area) to vacation rent.

Your question is really vague. Do a LOT of googling. Read a real estate book or three. And attend your local real estate meet ups.

RE is red hot right now and it's very hard to find a good buy in today's market. And no one knows if/when the market will correct (or not) with the amount of cash floating around.

Jason iam in the rental business with over 10 years of experience....
But i was asking if a basically if someone here on the forum is the rental business ( long term ) and then remodeled there units for
( short term ) bnb business.
And if they have had good luck in that transition,
As of markets RE pricing is high and i have been sitting on the side lines...but do we know if they will adjust.

Well it really depends on if there is demand for short term rentals in the area your homes are in.

And also check to make sure you can do that in your location.
