How many of you here utilise an accountability partner?
They are a great way to keep you focused and accountable to your goals, and if you don't use one, you should!
I think it works well because in some way we are 'wired' not to let people think that we go back on our word and are untrustworthy. Once you've told someone (or the internet if you use a blog for example), it makes you feel like you have a commitment to follow through or you risk letting people down.
A personal example of mine, not exactly in the same vein but similar none the less, was a friend asked me if I could build a piece of software for his boss. I said yes, even though I wasn't sure how to proceed (naturally 😀 ).
The thought of letting him down spurred me on into 'the zone' where I was not only able to deliver something but to also learn something new in the process.
