Hi everyone!
Did you know that in Norway we educate fish doctors to help improve the welfare of our farmed salmon? I didn't either until I suddenly found myself becoming one! But I always had the feeling that I wanted to create something, to identify a need and add value. So I have mostly working with product development, marketing and support within the aquaculture industry. I really appreciate the art of simplifying!
Back in 2017 I quit my corporate job as product developer within the aquaculture diagnostics business to move back home to the countryside. I started as the first employee in a newly founded RnD company, and I've been trying to create jobs and value for my home town community. This felt extremely satisfying as we quickly went from 1 to 4 employees, and now I am currently trying to figure out the best way forward to grow and thrive even more. I have already found great inspiration on this forum and will try to chip in with my thoughts just like contributor Andy Jack have challenged us to do ((Don't lurk..)!
So that is a little bit of my journey. At the moment our biggest projects are within land-based salmon farming and seaweed farming where we are currently building pilots to learn before scaling. Do reach out if you have any questions about the aquaculture industry!
all the best!
