Koreans React To 6-Year-Old YouTuber Buying A $8 Mil Building [Street Interview] | ASIAN BOSS
Korean citizens are freaking out and some citizens even drafted and signed a petition to the government to limit the amount a Youtuber can make. Crazy. It is said that she makes about $1,000,000 per month from her two combined channels and website store.

Note she bought this property, in a very expensive region of Seoul, Gangnam.

Props to her! Wanting to be a "Youtuber" shouldn't be a negative thing anymore.

Lol, bunch of haters.
That's what's happen if you succeed. Money reveals a lot of things. Who you are, who your friends really are, etc. etc.

I'd be more interested in how exactly this kid generated so much revenue, instead.

But it is not a 6 Year Old Youtuber buying $8,000,000 Property. It is her parents who have carefully orchestrated (some would even say exploited) their child for financial gain. The media love to sensationalise stuff like this with scant regard for the truth behind the headline.

What is the minimum age for a YouTube account?
YouTube requires account holders to be 18, but a 13-year-old can sign up with a parent's permission.

Well, how did the parents do it then?
Cute kids who do cute things are a dime a dozen.
How did they orchestrate this into an 8 million dollar deal.

Not saying that kids should be exploited, but their method could be repeated in more, uh, moral ways.

Edit: Or maybe the parents already *had* 8 million to spend, and the stuck the story on their kid on youtube, and there, the real fastlane stars..

In a recent seminar I went to, the speaker also discussed quite some details on the kid's success.

He was like, 'See, just record your kids playing with stuff, and people will like it!'

I don't know whether he really meant it, or he was joking, but it goes to show that very informal approaches could work.

But it's not the only 'strange popular video trend going on for Korea, as the speaker then revealed.

Here's one showcasing kids studying and hitting the books...FOR 1 HOUR
(or 6 hours, in this case)

And also muk-bang, simply meaning the YouTuber eats a feast while chatting about random stuff with the audience.

(I first saw the term when I watched AN AMERICAN YOUTUBER doing it, but I first thought muk-bang was just another spicy Korean food haha)

Eating giant feasts, playing kids and studying shouldn't be very unusual things to us.
But in Korea, when the culture revolves around a SCRIPT existence...
