But most importantly I want to leave my mark during my time here on this earth. I'm tired of feeling invisible to the world. It's time to put myself out there. I have owned more than 10 "businesses", and by businesses I mean the light bulb went off in my head, I rushed to get a domain name and did very little with it. A buddy of mine(known for MLM) reached out to me not too long ago with a new business idea. Turns out he bought into some facebook group that is teaching MJ's 1999 version of lead gen for a price of $6k! Doing my research is how I discovered MFL- best book I've ever read btw.

I have done graphic design on the side for over 20 years but never knew how to expand beyond the $150 jobs. I have a true passion for home improvement/renovation. I can pretty much build and fix anything I touch-hence the name Midas. Confidence isn't a problem, sticktoitiveness is.

Learning the importance of marketing has given me renewed energy to dive back into graphics full-time. I have set a goal to do/redo logos or ads for 10 non-profit organizations before year end, no charge to the client. Starting back at zero but I'll always keep my vision aimed at the Fastlane approach.

I have been going nowhere fast because money has always been my central focus. I put a $25 per hour minimum price tag on my back holding my talents ransom, but that is about to change. Hopefully during my time here I will be able to learn how to be a professional problem solver and of course be in a position to give back when the time comes.

Have a fantastic day guys and gals

Welcome to this forum! Thank you for introducing you :)
Edit: Before you start reading and diving into the informations, keep one thing in mind. It is not going to help you if you don't start using the informations. You need to execute, take action and do something.

With that in mind:
In the beginning I can recommend reading the Gold Posts. There are a lot and you already know what you want to do. So dive into the relevant ones and save the rest for later.
@Nicoknowsbest is on his way of selling his graphic design service to others. His recent posts and especially his call with @Andy Black can help you a lot! Andy's posts will help you in general.
@SinisterLex is selling his (copywriting) skills online as well. His thread about selling on Upwork or Fiverr will help you a lot! https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/co...ith-no-degree-no-feedback-no-portfolio.58837/

If you have a long car drive, download these four episodes and give them a listen:
http://www.tropicalmba.com/services/
http://www.tropicalmba.com/consulting/
http://www.tropicalmba.com/shopifyninjas/
http://www.tropicalmba.com/1000-true-fans-100-true-customers-or-10-true-clients/

I have set a goal to do/redo logos or ads for 10 non-profit organizations before year end, no charge to the client.

May I ask you why?

And overall, have fun and don't get stuck reading too much!

Information much appreciated. I've become a huge fan of @Andy Black in my short time here. In one of the calls with Nico he says something along the lines of 'giving creates an imbalance that has to come back around to you'. That, and knowing most small non-profits have bubble gum budgets, it would be a great way to help them get started while rebuilding my portfolio.

That is a good answer!
You can help others that might not be able to afford it. And in the same time can refresh your skills.
If you put the "helping" part there are a lot of benefits for you!
Most of the time charity workers are passionate, and if you truly add value to their passion, they will bite your hand off - You might read further about this in the "Veganism Opportunities" Thread.
And every happy customer has a group of people behind him. They like to talk about what they do. And if you do a great job, they will talk about that as well.

I'm interested where you are going! :)
