2018 Fastlane Summit - Room Sharing Thread

Hey all,

Decided to make this thread as I am still potentially looking to share a room at the hotel with the right person (romantic?.... lol).

I may end up booking on my own pretty quickly but will be spending potentially $1500+ to get there from Vancouver so I would like to cut costs.

This thread is also open to others who are interested in sharing as well! Thanks all!

You should be able to get round trip tickets from Vancouver for under $350 to Phoenix. Check out Kiwi.com. It is great for finding lowest airfare pricing.

Just an update for everyone, if you haven't booked your rooms so far and are planning on staying at the Talking Stick Resort I would recommend booking it IMMEDIATELY.

In talking with the bookings department, they are no longer giving the discounted rate at $239 for Thursday and have limited space left at the $239 rate for Friday and Saturday.

Do not get a place in downtown Phoenix. Scottsdale, Tempe, or Phoenix Biltmore areas are the best choices!

I am probably going to be staying in the area for close to a week and therefore getting an Air B n B as well. I did that last year and got a nice 5ish mile jog before and after the event every day which was awesome.

Is it still a safe area? I don't want to get mugged at 1am when I am running through the streets next year!

Hey guys, looking at doing an AirBnB in Scottsdale. Looking at saving money that way.

Found one that is a 5 bed and has a couple couches. If it were just 5 people for the 3 nights, it’s roughly $200 total per person.

Anyone interested in going in on a AirBnB? I plan on spending as much time on resort property as possible, but the AirBnB crowd could also double as a fun mastermind.

There are smaller 2 or 3 person ones too if there aren’t enough people.

Unfortunately, I had to swap my ticket out and won’t be able to attend the Summit this year. I sold my ticket to @Ravens_Shadow who might also need accommodations.

Sorry guys, wish I could make it, there’s next year though.

I already got a pretty good deal on an Air B&B for about $220 CAD. I couldn't pass that price up and be so close to the casino. I have yet to try out Uber so I am looking forward to that.

However if you guys are in a bind and I can get into the house around the same price, I could cancel. Keep me posted!

I'm local now, so in case anyone's having trouble getting a spot sorted out (or just wants to save a few bucks), someone's welcome to crash in my spare room. (It's a bit of a drive over though, so staying at the hotel will absolutely be a better idea, if you can swing it.)
