I read the Millionaire Fastlane a few weeks ago and got a lot of value out of it! I have known I wanted to be a entrepreneur since my last years in high school but never took massive action (I'm now 20.) I didn't do very well in highschool, I wasn't engaged or focused, to me the stuff didn't have a lot of value. I took AP classes and never did any of the homework and skipped frequently but still passed due to test scores. Most of my teachers were surprised I graduated... hell even I was! What happened was people would tell me I was ruining my life and not be successful. This made me want to be more successful than ever!
The point is I always did the bare minimum to scrape by because I never saw any worth in what school was teaching me. However if I see worth/value in something I have no problem immersing my self. I believe this is called Reticular Activation System (RAS.) For example I read the Millionare Fastlane in a little over a day because it engaged my RAS so much.
When I was a little kid I loved the internet. I thought it was so cool how you could find out anything about anything. When I was in 5th grade I learned basic html and created a little Redwall (books by Brian Jaques) website. This made me want to pursue a career in web design. I gradually moved away from that and became interested in Internet marketing and SEO. After high school I made a couple sites but no success so far.
That is basically where I'm at right now. A little lost but determined to succeed. Should I continue focusing on SEO? Should I go crazy and create a local business and franchise it? Should I write a book or create a program and market it? These are the questions I'm asking myself right now and it feels like I'm stagnating, which I hate! But I recognize as just a part of my journey that I must push through.
Anyways, I have big dreams for where I want to live, the types of women I want to date, and how I want to impact the world. I just have to figure out how.
