Tuesday was my 1 year anniversary on the forum, a "milestone" that hit me pretty hard, especially upon realizing how much time I've been here just soaking up information.
It seems that every time I say I'm going to buckle down and go for it I find some excuse to discontinue my efforts, even if I make a progress thread on here. A common excuse is that I'm only 20 years old and I have plenty of time to tackle this in the future despite 9-5 slavery being only 2 years on the horizon.
This is probably my third progress thread and I've gotten nowhere in my other ones. Motivation hits a peak at about a week or two into it and fizzles out from there.
I realized that I really need to change my approach so I've decided to start using MJ's Fastlane Daily checklist that came with my Insider's subscription.
I've also always had doubts about the route I want to take which is importing. I was unsure if this was the "correct" route to take, and my biggest fear was wasting my time. Ironically, by thinking this way, my biggest fear has undoubtedly come true. I've wasted a hell of a lot of time juggling this doubt.
To combat this, I set up some goals for the months ahead. My first goal is to order samples within a week of writing this, and my monthly goal would be to get my first sale. My yearly goal is to be making $2,500/month which I believe is reasonable but I still believe that I can outdo it. As long as I try to the best of my ability to complete these goals I will be content.
As of yesterday I've been in contact with a few manufacturers overseas in regards to a product that I want to bring to market. The product is currently on the market but isn't marketed very well nor getting very good feedback on Amazon. My hope is to beat out the competition quality and customer service wise.
I'm currently writing out my checklist for tomorrow and will be tackling it head-on after work. I realized that I'm in one of the best situations right now and I need to take advantage of it before I have bigger and more taxing responsibilities than a part-time job.
