Hello everybody,
It's been too long since I last posted! I signed up last January, so I've been a Fastlane Member for over a year now. This thread serves 2 purposes: 1) Thank everyone who has helped me over the past year and 2) Motivate and encourage any new member who may have just joined us.
When I first signed up I was desperate for money, highly confused, but eager to learn. I believe just having the right attitude about things and being open to new opinions and viewpoints is what you need to succeed on this forum and in life. I had NO IDEA what I wanted to do. I was vaguely interested in Real Estate, Stocks, E-Business...ANYTHING. Basically, I just wanted to make money.
The Fastlane taught me to explore these different avenues, and when I found something that truly interested me, to hit it hard with everything I had. After combing through some of the threads, I decided to focus all of my attention and energy on E-Business. Keep in mind, I had NO IDEA whatsoever what I was doing. I'm sure many of you feel the same way and if you look at my old threads you can see for yourself I was clueless. It's okay to be clueless. If you work hard it won't last very long.
To be honest, I still have A LOT to learn as I'm still far from an expert and far from rich. However, I have made an extra $2,000 in the last few months and this is all while still being a full-time college student and working 40 hours a week at my normal job. I'm still trying to learn something new everyday so that soon I can be financially independent and won't have to work 40 hours a week for anyone else.
One of the most important things I learned here is that achieving your goals isn't an event, it is a process. With that said, just make an attempt to get a little bit better everyday. I realize I have not accomplished anything near what I want to, but I truly feel that I am on the right track. I admit sometimes I do still get depressed and fall off track, but if you want it bad enough you will always bounce back even better.
So THANK YOU everyone who has helped me in the past and I look forward to making many, many more strides in the right direction.
