Been making a commonly used household commodity.
Bought some rudimentary equipment but they work right and the product works just good.
Designed my own piece of equipment and it works better than the one I bought from Kampala. Yet I spent less money on it.
Got the product right between December 2025 and April 2026.
Began to make sales in April 2026 and wanted to quit my job and was hit when supply of key ingredients failed to come along.
Adjusted to another version of the commodity. Kind of a smaller kind. Less expensive in the market. Pretty profitable too. Makes 400ugx per piece.
It was difficult getting it right. Lost some money in the process and lost business time too. I was panicking, rushing, hurrying, desperate, frustrated.
Finally got it right. But not before quitting my job in end of June. It was the best paying job I had ever held. But it was confusing my entrepreneurship process and touching me where it hurts.
Three days after quitting it the new version of my commodity was market worthy. Still had some problems though.
Improved over time. Been appreciated several times after several iterations and improvements.
Customers are happier a lower quality product that resembles what they are used to.
Sales been slow to a painful level. I think because of packaging.
Been talking everyone. Banks. Individuals. Friends. Relatives. Passersby about money to package my product.
