Hello fellow Fastlaners,
I’m reaching out because I need some light—not that I’m in the dark, but regarding one of my side projects: focusLab.
To keep it brief: it’s a productivity extension for Google Chrome.
It includes features like blocking time-wasting sites, to-do lists, a calendar, social media feed blocking, white noise, and breathing exercises...
In short, a productivity "ecosystem."
However, update after update, it has perhaps become "too much." Too many different functions.
I like to describe it as a productivity "ecosystem," but the reality is that after several years, I only have 350 users.
Sure, it’s a side project, but I’ve invested a lot of time into it.
I’d love your opinion: is the idea sound—should I keep pushing the marketing? Or perhaps pivot, or break the extension up (one per function)? Or just give up?
Some say Chrome extensions are hard to monetize, yet competitors do well (take Block Site, for example, with its million users: BlockSite).
Here is my extension, focusLab. Please feel free to be frank and 100% honest; you won't hurt my feelings—you'll be helping me.
Thanks everyone, the link : FocusLab
