I sold a barely used video card on eBay last week and the buyer is claiming it doesnt work and wants to return. This is a total scam, he is going to send me back a duplicate card that is fried or something like that. What can I do?

Hi Levijean,

If you have any picture of the Video Card before the delivery you can open a ticket to ebay.
every card have a serial number.

why are you so convinced that you will be scammed.?

So would you recommend documenting serials prior to sales? Maybe even dated videos of the card posting? Just curious because I have some tech stuff and other things I was looking to let go and flip on Ebay at sometime, so I'm definitely interested in preventing this kind of stuff.

Someone should create a thread that how to spot a tell-tale signs about a legit seller and fake seller when it comes to flip and buy in eBay

Sadly not much. Investigate eBay seller protection so that once you get scammed you might be able to make a claim with eBay/PayPal. Also search the Internet for other similar circumstances to see if there is any advice from other people this is happened to.

When I tried the eBay grind the only thing that saved me from scammers was that my markup was 1000%. Whatever happens with this one case, I'd suggest spending more time trying to figure out how to replace the money you make from eBay with another source of income, the system is bias in favour of buyers.
