Thanks for sharing this man! How had I not heard of this guy before

The hunger thing is something that I struggle with, and I like how he articulates motivation as "the willingness to do something you feel is worthwhile". It's not about the willingness, it's about how worthwhile you see the action as being!

What was your main take away from the video?

Glad you got something out of it! My main takeaway was to re-focus on the footwork and not the results. It was a reminder of what MJ says about process and events. If I make 50 cold calls and land 1 sales meeting, I should praise the action taken with the 50 phone calls and not the 1 sales meeting. There's a book called "Go For No" that delves deeper into that.

Your thread title instantly reminded me this video...

Wow! This is a must-watch video! Thank you for sharing this!

When I ask myself, "is the 28 year old Sonny today hungrier, more strategic, and more capable than the 27-18 year old Sonny?" The answer is "Absolutely." The difference, other than the life experience that has positioned me to be more effective, is the realization that my dreams are possible. Not only that, but it's having enough life experience to refine what my dreams actually are. Shout out to MJ's 1/5/10 plan.

The last time I felt the way he describes watching Gladiator for me was yesterday when I was listening to The Carter IV .

The last video of Pat's I saw was the one about staying 15 moves ahead in business like a Grandmaster chess player. That was an awesome video. Here's the link if you want to check it out:

I play chess at least once a day so when he mentioned concentration being the 1 currency today that gives you an edge over your competition I got a little excited.

Hunger + Concentration = Lethal

For anyone interested in a good read, check out The Tao of Chess. I'd take this book over The 48 Laws of Power any day of the week. The author does a great job of applying chess principles into business and life.

Thanks again for the video @MaxKhalus
