So I did drop shipping a couple of years ago and I failed pretty badly. I tried Facebook ads and adwords but to no avail and a lot of wasted money. At first, I tried a general market, electronics, and then months later I tried just honing in on phone accessories. My question is, is dropshipping with your own website even profitable nowadays? Especially when it comes to fighting against Amazon and eBay. Or would it be a smarter idea to just dropship with Ebay or Amazon FBA?

When you start, it's always easier to start on a marketplace.
But you'll quickly learn to drive the traffic yourself, because being dependent of Amazon is not a so good idea.

I always recommend to leverage the Amazon/Ebay cashflow to invest in your own website.

I always see people talking about creating product pages and such, is that still relevant nowdays? Like do people really go on a website that only offers one product and try to sell it?
