Hey all, saying hello and writing a short introduction ...

Had been a slowlaner for 10 years since I finished University. Been listening to podcasts since 2014 which helped me overcome doubts. Been trying it as an entrepreneur for the past two years.

My very first business idea from 2011 failed because it was a passion project without any merit. Helped me understand modern CMS systems and working with freelance developers.

My next business idea failed because I didn't do proper customer development process and I built investor's pitch deck before anything else. What I learned though was how to do problem-solution interviews and appreciate the process of extracting needs from real customers. It also made me learn to code basic MVPs (PHP, Laravel, HTML5, CSS3).

The next business idea came from my friend. I was able to build the MVP to validate it with the customers. It failed because I teamed up with the wrong person who was supposed to take care of sales. The partnership turned it into a sh*t show of wanna-be entrepreneurs, playing the business instead of making it happen. We all had other interests alongside this one. That made me learn to focus!

With the next idea, we finally made money, because I partnered with the right person. We focused hard, executed like crazy, build the community, sold to sponsors, made talks, consulting engagements. I applied everything that I learned from the podcasts and the books and it actually works. It meant long hours and sacrifice, but I love it. We failed the scale commandment though. Our target group can't support high margins, there are too many "free" ways how to obtain what we offered, too many subjective wishes which make automation almost non-existent. Lessons learned, strengths & weaknesses clarified, chapter finished.

Now looking for the next business idea that will move me closer to the ultimate goal of total independence. Thinking of SaaS, productized service, consulting, etc. Leaving myself few months for reflections and rumination. However, I know I can't stay idle for too long and that's why I finally joined this forum. Let's see what gives, inspiration is everywhere ;)

P.S. When asked if I want Zuckerberg of Ferriss type of success, I go for Ferriss. I hate office politics and have very strong BS detector. I favor lifestyle business to the fullest!

Welcome @maikooo

Great intro. You have been failing forward continuously, congrats on taking so much action and learning so many lessons. That is what a lot of people have the greatest hangup on, taking action.

You've put the road work in now it looks like you are in a position to win your first big race. Looking forward to reading your journey moving forward.

Thanks, @RazorCut, much appreciated!! It's been quite a journey, pieces falling into place. Lately done the TotalBrain test and seems I have an exceptional high resilience. Gotta balance it though, not to be resilient about the wrong things :) cheers
