People always say they are looking for ideas to fulfill a specific need or to find a certain niche. I thought this was an interesting collection of 23 different niches others turned into a substantial income. Perhaps this thread can become an idea repository of various niche topics and discussion about what might work for others looking for ideas.

Great article! Interesting to see that two of the examples are selling to people who want to be broke - the trailer and tiny house residents - yet there seems to be a business there! I agree this would be a very interesting thread if others would join in.

One advantage I think people can make in the "niche" department is coming up with something where people could become return customers. A lot of these had the potential to build repeat traffic as they dealt with things like fitness (which is an ongoing process), sewing and other hobbies (where you'll buy multiple patterns/items), and even growing your church membership (an ongoing process).

My favorite niche on the list was the site that actually created the list. Nichehacks.com gets around 400K visitors a month. Being a content aggregator like nichehacks is a great way to get traffic. The next step is to figure out how to monetize it.

Yet not 1 ad on their site, weird.

But this guy is funny though. He and I have a lot in common. I never read the books or followed what others said either and I try to keep my business and financials as private as possible, especially from my friends, family and neighbors. If people that know me knew what I (we) have..... their jaw would drop to the floor. He is a RARE one that gets SAVED to my favorites.

Yep, it is a subscription site at $49 a month. The articles demonstrate their expertise, which leads to people subscribing to their community.

I have slept since I was on the site but if I remember correctly.... yeah, right.... one of their posts was about having ads on your website. That's why I thought it was weird they didn't.... I think. I will be going back there though. I would never pay $49 but I'll read the free section. For $49 it better come with a happy ending at the end of each page
