Couldn't find this topic, so here we go.

Post the problems you have and can't solve well enough right now. (Or problems that other people close to you have)

You don't need to make up solutions! That's up to entrepreneurs. Just describe your problem, and (optionally) existing solutions and what frustrates you about them.

Even though it's not nearly enough for a proper market research, it can give us here some clues on what to work on in the future.

I'll start.

I use spaced repetition when learning anything. (For those who don't know, it's a technique to remember something over and over again with longer and longer breaks between remembering) So when learning long-term, I set a custom schedule (usually 1 - 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 day breaks), and have reminders for things I need to learn. The way it works is I learn the concept in like 1 hour, then revise it for 15 minutes a day with breaks. I learn a foreign language this way.

The problem is creating these reminders! It's so tedious to time them, requires writing a script for Mac to not drive yourself crazy. Still I had to write it, and I have to use Mac, and I can't change it easily. If an app existed for it, it would be wonderful.

So that's my example. Share yours and let's discover problems to solve.

You might enjoy posting a similar thread over at Dane Maxwell's foundation forum.

You might find that to be a better venue for idea extraction as most of the people that frequent this forum solve their own problems.

What type of SaaS have you developed so far?

I'm not in SaaS, and the business I intend to build isn't SaaS either, it relies much more on network effects. Thanks for the forum suggestion, I'll post it there too.

Yeah, people do solve their own problems, but there are definitely problems you don't know how to solve or that seem insoluble to you, or maybe for which your current solution isn't good enough.

I mean, think about how much easier it is to create businesses when we have a bunch of people's problems in one place!
