Hey, all.

I wanted to share this website [REMOVED BY MOD] With one search, it will search all craigslist ads nationwide. Booyah. If you work virtually you can find new gigs that are posted around the country.

For example, I just searched it for "copywriter" and a bunch of different ads seeking copywriters popped up...in several different industries, too. Take your pick.

Anyway, hope it helps!

Are you affiliated with that backlink you just posted?

Because I don't see anything here worth sharing.

I tried the search and it didn't even work, only produced a search error.

And the site is simply a Google site search of Craigslist.

Anyone driving by...

Here is how you search Craigslist (or eBay) or any website of significant content:

1) Go to Google
2) Type in "site:craigslist.com copywriter" (site:[site you want to search] [search term])
3) Get same results.

Hi there.

No, I am not affiliated with them. Just being helpful.

It worked fine for me yesterday. I searched "copywriter" and about two pages of results came up.

I, on the other hand, never had much luck with that google search tip you made above. Maybe tonight I will do both --mine and yours-- and compare results.....then post my findings back here .

Thanks .

KE

I don't know if this is the same site that he posted, but you can also use searchtempest.com.

I find it better than the search operator in Google because you can modify it with different parameters like post age, distance, category, negative keywords, etc.

Nice way to get a few extra leads now and then.

Good news!

The site I posted is nowhere near as good as www.searchtempest.com. Its WAY better than the resource I provided. Thanks for sharing.

Value-add: If you like buying and selling things on ebay for a profit, you can use something like searchtempest.com or the technique MJ mentioned above to search for the word "collection" on craiglist.....then buy it and resell on ebay.

I had a friend who used to do that very thing -- find collections on craigslists ads nationwide, then buy and resell them for much more on ebay. Collections tend to go for a lot of money for die-hard fans, regardless of what genre.

He no longer does that so its wide open for me to share his secret. :)

(I dont like selling via ebay so this strategy isnt for me personally...before someone inevitably asks why I am not keeping it to myself and making money from it). ;)

On my phone I use CSmart when searching for cars or bikes. You can pick the state, city, etc... that you want it to search in.

NOTABLE! - How to ACTUALLY Get Freelance Work: What I learned after 3 months of beating my head against a wall

Page 2, Post 1.

@Ken Elshoff Craigslist also has RSS feeds created from searches.

For example, I'm looking for Summer Sublets in Tampa right now and don't want to spend more than $550/month. So I'll enter "(Sublet | Sublease) -office -female" in the search bar, with a max price set to 550, and click the "RSS" button in the bottom right corner:

(Note that 'office' and 'female' are excluded keywords to exclude results that are girls-only rentals, or office spaces).

Then, I'll take CL's provided RSS feed and port into Inoreader (an RSS reader):

Now, I can effectively monitor ALL new listings that come in and jump on it immediately. Apply the same method to any product you're looking to purchase & resell, or any kind of online service you're looking to provide.

It's how I got my first clients a year ago. CL is surprisingly powerful.

Lots of flippers use the RSS feed on Craigslist. I'm not sure if apps such as 5Miles and OfferUp have something like that or not. Anyone know?

I am actually going to watch this thread with all the quick search tips that are being provided.

Thanks, @UnrealCreative for that breakdown and link to the other thread.
