Hey everyone,
So I am going to be honest here and say I have dabbled in eCommerce before, and even had a store online a few years ago. I did horrible. Spent money on things I couldn't sell, a site that was worthless and etc etc etc,. Was really : (
I read a number of Hugh's posts on eCommerce and I'll be say $50,000 USD profit your first month of launching a new product is phenomenal. That is what people make a YEAR in the USA, MOST MAKE LESS THAN THAT. And to make it in a month, is insane compared to what I make monthly.
So after reading threads through here more, and after thinking about it a little. I find that I want to get back into it and give it another go, by trying to follow the steps outlined by Hugh on his progress/success threads.
-----
1. Decided to try eCommerce once again, but with "following" some steps learned through the forums (more importantly Hugh's/Biophase's threads).
2. I have chosen a target market, it is geared towards individuals always on the go/traveling/business men/women.
3. I actually purchased the product myself over a hear ago for $100.00 while I was on the run.
4. Found that I could have bought it cheaper elsewhere.
5. I find that if people act, as they do act presently towards the product when seeing it in action, I can only imagine how many other people out there, there are that really want this "issue" in their fixed and would be willing to pay $100.00 for it, just as I.
6. Found a reputable supplier for it.
6a. I wanted to brand it, but the mold and first order has to be a certain amount which I can't quite place the funds into yet without testing the product. So..
7. Opened a Shopify account. I am only using it because they seem to make it easy to keep track of reports etc,. For my present business I am using excel sheets half the day and want to sway away from it. I also ONLY- hear good things about Shopify.
To Do:
1. Finish Shopify Site. Will contain a variation of the main product with advertising and perhaps 2-3 other similar products in a few months if the main product sells.
2. Test the product and its ability to sell. I am somewhat new to Facebook Advertising but will go that route. If it sells at what I would like it to sell at, for the advertising spend I place on it, then I'll go ahead and include Instagram into the marketing of it all.
That is all for now.
I hope it turns out to sell as much as people were saying they would definitely buy it if they were located in the USA to do so. (Yes, I am in Europe, with the product being used for myself & wanting to sell it in the USA.)
Thanks for reading.
Updates when I have them.
