Firstly, thanks to MJ DeMarco for setting up this awesome community and for his spectacular book "Fastlane Millionaire". It was an epic book and I am ecstatic to be a part of this community!

I am a pretty seasoned entrepreneur (have started making money online since I was 14) and have some things I'd like to share and contribute to others in this community so let's connect!

Again, great to meet you guys and look forward interacting with you!

I don't see it. Possibly because I'm new to the forum and don't have enough post count?

Are you quite sure about that?

There should be a "Start a conversation" button under the information tab.As far as I know being new to the forum doesn't restrict you from starting a PMing

Lemme give you a zoomed image of the image I posted above.

As a new member it takes 24 hours to get PM ability, plus the user you are messaging needs to have it active. Many of our most seasoned member do not have PMs active.

Other than that, welcome to our little corner of the world Steve!

Hey Vigilante,

It was overall an epic book. Being in the trenches all the time, I thought MJ was very truthful about sharing his experience and knowledge and the information was very practical.

I especially like the section on asset value and law of effection.

I go through about 15-20 books a month and this was one of my favorite business books!

I'm 35 btw

15-20 books a month???
I don't even read that much! At best I only do one at a time, pertaining to my present Fastlane problems.

But I'm sure you don't do everything in one sitting unless its an easy introduction read!
What were your recent best picks of reading material?
I was looking into Purple Cow and Linchpin by Seth Godin. Very introductory, but the Purple Cow is good for marketing mythbusting of 'just bomb the market with TV ads' while the Linchpin explains the importance of skilled talented human resources to add more life to a Fastlane moneytree, rather than reduce it to just a mere robotic construct as we see happening in corporate environments.

I'm now trying to get Breakthrough in Advertising by Eugene Schwartz, but I can't find it. It's apparently a potent book for copywriting, which, according to reviews,....does some astronomical results. A recommendation of this forum too, though not on MJ's bookshelf section. There's not even a pdf excerpt....it's copyright is more heavily guarded than most books due to its reputation of being 'the most stolen library book in history'.

Welcome to the forum, and I am looking forward to your contributions!

Hey ZF,

Thanks for your warm welcome!

Yeah I've been a pretty hardcore copywriting student back in the days. I would've been a professional copywriter if it paid millions.

I've studied from anywhere from copywriting legends Gary Halbert, Gary Bencivenga, Clayton Makepeace, Michael Masterson, Claude Hopkins, and yes Eugene Schwartz also.

I believe it's one of the most important skills you can ever have as an entrepreneur because it's salesmanship in print. It's like cloning yourself on a piece of paper to do the selling. And you can use it in your emails, daily conversations, etc.

I've bought my copy of Breakthrough Advertising about 10 years ago on eBay I think. I still see it although the price went up quite a bit:

I think it's still viable to earn millions doing copywriting, but it'll be limited to ad agencies and television for a more stable focus.
But yes, with the right use of words and product offerings, it can generate millions.
For example, there's the historical record breaking sales letter of the Wall Street Journal that pulled in $2 billion.
Here's an excerpt which thankfully still contains the gist of it.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...V6QQj-Tw4k7dUDaNw&sig2=hqNXr2jA3LkB2JnobSDnhQ

However, copywriting can't be used to mask deficient products! Sure, people will buy, but not for long....
