Hey all,

I'm a 20 year old residing in Canada.

I am currently studying to become a doctor but I've always had a business side. At 18 I started importing dog products and selling them locally. At one point I made 5k a month for 3 months (during the summer off school).

Now I'm hungry for more. I was thinking of bringing in 5 prefab homes/container homes and renting them out. I'm also looking into the energy drink market. I have gained exclusive rights to the Canadian market for a new premium energy drink that looks great, tastes great, and is better than a RedBull.

Just wanted to introduce myself and look for potential partners/friends.

Hi fellow Canadian! Welcome to the forum. Which part of Canada are you? I'm from Montreal.

It's hard to let it go once bitten by the fastlane bug. You have come to the right place. :)

I'm curious as to why you selected prefab homes/containers. Do you have an existing land? Is this a seasonal rental? : Canadian winters are tough unless you're in the west coast. I think the idea is brilliant. I have been to a restaurant that's made of old container in Montreal. Best part, it's mobile. see for yourself: http://inhabitat.com/muvbox-fast-food-shipping-container-restaurant/

Hey guys! Glad to meet you guys. I'm from Ontario!
Yeah Phenom, prefabs are really the future... My uncle owns some land up north, I'll be adding villas and some residential housing. I have a few clients lined up already interested in renting. A decorated container home costs about 3k for me to bring into Ontario. Currently I rent about 5 of them to construction companies.

Just a quick cost/return analysis.

Cost for 5 pre-decorated container homes: ~20k

Construction companies rent them from me for: $200-500 depending on size

Income generated per month: $1000-2500

This is my 3rd year doing it. I already got a full return on my investment, this is all pure profit.

I can see a whole army of these as cottage rentals. Can they or are they insulated for cold winters?

Yeah bro, cottage country is something I've been thinking about. They can be insulated. Also, it's safer than a regular cottage under extreme weather conditions. The possibilities for prefabs and container homes are endless.

Business has always been a passion for me however. Besides my studies, I always look for business opportunities.
