I don't know much about Unity, but from the overview in the article it seems to be a publishing platform that allows indie and small company devs get their apps out for multiple platforms (kind of like Corona SDK, I think). I'm definitely going to consider this over Corona, since Corona's most useful features are behind a paywall.
