Hi everyone,
My name is Carlos. I’m a 52-year-old physician licensed in both the United States and Canada. I live near the border and commute into Washington State for my weekday medical practice while operating a sports medicine and musculoskeletal pain management practice in British Columbia on weekends. Between the two, I work six days a week.
After more than two decades in medicine, I’ve realized that despite a good income and a career I’m proud of, I’m still fundamentally trading my time for money. Reading The Millionaire Fastlane honestly kicked my a$$ a little and challenged many of my assumptions about success, wealth, and what it means to build something that creates value beyond my direct involvement.
I’m completely new to entrepreneurship, and one thing I’ve discovered is that this journey can feel surprisingly isolating. Reading the book and having the opportunity to join this community has been genuinely exciting. I’ve also been exploring healthcare-related business ideas and learning that execution is far more challenging than coming up with ideas, which is one of the reasons I joined this community.
I’m here to learn from those who have built businesses, challenge my own thinking, and hopefully contribute where my healthcare experience may be useful.
Looking forward to learning from all of you.
Carlos
