This past year has been the hardest and worse years of mine and my wife's life, and because of that we are SOLID now, determined, and started some extremely positive changes. We are optimistic for this coming year (2025) because now we just have to keep the ball rolling! Here's what we have going into 2025, Our amazing 1year old Daughter, I've been at the gym 4 days a week for the past year, we attend Church regularly now, we eat extremely clean and well for the past year, I'm closing in on my 1000days sober, we are homeowners, stable 9-5, and have about $30k Saved...
Here's what's in the works.. I'm 30 years old and WE'RE MOVING!!! From Northern Michigan to 2000 miles south to beautiful South Carolina!
It was in our 5 year plan but has been accelerated to 1 year due to "events"..
My Fastlane journey will pickup after the move, I'm excited for it, it's a food product I have been experimenting with.. More to come on that.. But let me tell you about moving!
-Move date is May 1st about 4 months away..
-We booked a Fully Furnished rental for 3 months till August we may extend this..
-We will be Airbnb'ing our home here, we got everything setup with a property manager, and have been doing some home upgrades/Repairs
-We have been selling and donating stuff like crazy, we've made a few thousand on ebay and Marketplace!
-next month in February we are all flying down to the city for a week to sign the rental lease, explore, and ideally do some job interviews/meet-and-greets
-I've just started a list of companies with open job postings, to contact and setup interviews, my backup is just walking in (I actually got my current job this way)
-We will be shipping our stuff to the city using Uhaul U-boxes (Pods), I will be towing my car and motorcycle with my truck, and driving down.. My wife will fly down with our baby girl
-I will be giving a 6week notice at my job in February after we come back from our week trip.
-One tricky thing is selling our Custom Bus/RV it's a bit niche and has to be sold before we move which is iffy weather up here. But that would give us an extra $25k... I listed it on the biggest forum for these vehicles, Skoolie.net
So that's where we are, we've been CRUSHING!!! We realized we're at the point if we don't move now, we never will.. And we're making that play! Stay tuned!
