On a journey inspired by The Millionaire Fastlane and The Great Rat-Race Escape, I've been driven to rewrite my entrepreneurial script. My decade-long corporate journey in marketing and communications, currently in a management role, has culminated in an exciting venture. In the beginning of 2023 I launched my communications agency as a side hustle. This decision was driven by my desire to offer my accumulated skills to a wider audience, beyond the confines of a 9-to-5 job.
Today, I find myself at a crossroads. My agency has built up a loyal client base that provides a steady four-figure monthly income - not enough for me to leave my corporate job. Also, the realisation that my business model mirrors a traditional job - trading hours for dollars - is spurring me on to seek change. Despite increasing my rates, the essence of trading time for money remains, limiting my growth and freedom.
My goal is clear: to fully transition from my corporate role to my agency within the next two years, transforming it into a scalable business. The potential of AI in marketing and communications is huge and I'm keen to use it to revolutionise my services.
