I just learned a new trick guys. I learned it from others on the internet so I am not taking credit for being the first person to figure this out. Just thought I would share. I am in the process of making Youtube vids to promote my real estate. I use Craigslist to post my vacancies and a link to my website. I wanted to put the vids on the Craigslist site. So I am going to take my shot at showing you how I do it if you want to also.

You have to have a screen shot of you Youtube vid hosted somewhere. I use photobucket. You also, obviously, have to have you vid posted on Youtube. When you have all of that you copy and paste this script directly into your Craigslist ad.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXX" rel="nofollow"> <img src="http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/XXXXXXXXX"> </a>

You have to sustitute the URL's for your vid and photo in for the red script. It's working for me. Good luck.

Since knowledge is never bad here's what it does, for anyone not familiar with html..

The '<a href="">' and '</a>' symbolize a link you can click on. They say that anything written between these tags (tags are anything in between '<' and '>' in html) will be treated like a link. The place you want the link to take a person to is put in between the quotes. In this case you want it to go to a Youtube video, and so that goes there (the http:// is essential if it's a website off your server or you'll get 'page cannot be found')

So we then put a <img src="" /> in side of the tags telling us "hey this will be a link!". The image also has to have a place to say "this is where I'm located" and that's what goes into the quotes. So now we have any picture of our choice as a link that you can click on to take you somewhere else!

The rel="" is just for webcrawlers, and doesn't effect the user so it's not worth mentioning.

I know this seems almost too easy to bother explaining for anyone that knows html. It felt like a good opportunity though to try to show it's not as intimidating as it looks when you first see it. Examples pertaining to what you want to do always make learning easier. :smug2:

Does this make sense?
