Young U.S. Adults Flock to Parents
If I would have read this article before I read TMF I probably would have felt really bad for the people that they talked about. But, I read this -
"After a month, his parents insisted that he get a job. Now Sanchez, 26, teaches speech communication at a middle school. During the past four years, he also earned a master’s degree in finance at the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg."
"Sanchez doesn’t pay any rent, although his father, a pharmacist, persuaded him to buy a house lot and to start saving. He also owns a truck and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle."
So he graduates with a bachelor's in journalism and when he finally decides to get a teaching gig he goes back to school and puts himself into more debt by going to get a masters in finance. On top of that, his father persuaded him to buy a house lot and he owns a truck and a motorcycle.
You live at home with your parents and you bought a Harley??
