So, I'll keep it short because I'm very conflicted and this is a fairly common issue I'm sure.
I have made my first legitimately profitable business to date, making enough that I don't need a part time or full time job. Here's my problem: it is a service business, mostly freelanced and I'm literally driven crazy by the clients. There is growth potential to 6 figures/ year in sight realistically but it's not a business I really enjoy at all. I'm also a student and I don't have the time to keep this up.
My thoughts are: to sell the business, and start a passive business I would have more heart in. Personally, I've always wanted a passive income business because I value my flexibility most. I think I could make enough in the sale of the current business to jumpstart something passive, I'm aiming for a niche website around technology and profit from affiliates. I would also need a part time job for a few months if I chose this route.
I can't tell if I'm running from hard work and just need to smooth out the current business or if it would be a better choice to switch it up. I want to have an abundance mindset and assume that this current business won't be the last time I see that type of revenue. Have you ever sold a business in hopes to start something better?
Would love to hear some thoughts.
