Why "Never Giving Up" Can Be Hazardous to Your Success

Everyone fails. How you react to failure is what defines you and your path to success. While "never giving up" seems to be the favored mantra, "giving up", or as some say, "quitting" sometimes is the best course of action.

If you had a dream of flying like a bird without the assistance of a machine or a contraption, and jumped off the roof of a barn 40 times, making no adjustments in process, would giving up be the prudent choice? Or would you continue to make the jumps, crutching yourself on the mantra of "Never Give Up"?

you are probably tired of hearing this, but IE is still screwed up on layout. Actual content does not start till below the search button on the right hand side. If I was coming there from one of the social sites, I would not stick around and search for the content, I would quickly leave and assume a page loading error.

Sorry, but it won't be fixed for <=IE6 anytime soon - not many use the browser anymore and I can't spend weeks hacking a solution to fix IE6's inability to render CSS properly. Sorry. If you want to view the content unfettered, download Firefox which will also save you from a slew of security holes in IE.

Great article! That is something I need to rethink...as I've been called a pitbull before, I don't like giving up....sometimes I wonder if that is a flaw.

Question to you all...how do you really know when to quit. Sometimes I'll stop for a time & rethink what I'm doing....

That's kind of my dilemma now....sigh...

Very well said I couldn't agree more!

You have to be persistant, and not give up when things get rough. But you also have to be know when its just not going to work.

But if you fail enough, eventualy will get a winner.
