Where Can I Hire USA based photographers?

Hi there,
I am doing a non-profit (not a keyword you would expect in this forum I know) project that requires to hire some USA based photojournalists or just photographers who could do short interviews with random people. Preferably the photographers should be living in cities with 1M+ in population.

I tried posting a listing @ odesk/freelancer/elance but I was unable to find anyone.

Is there some odesk/elance for photographers I am unaware of? I tried googling for half an hour but I was unable to find one.

You could take a look on fiverr, I'm sure someone will be offering what you're looking for.

I'm not sure if you're looking for freebies or not. Fiverr is a paid platform therefore that could be a problem you'll encounter, however you could try contact people and explain your situation. You never know what will happen.

Thanks for your replies! No, I am not looking for freebies. I am willing to pay a reasonable amount of money for every pic with a short interview attached to it.
