So far I've managed to find a few decent drop-shipping sites, but the stock is very general and when I looked at several different available items on Amazon/Ebay I noticed exactly the same seller names come up with slim margins.

Obviously I need to find some kind of niche, but this is where I'm struggling.

I know about Google adwords, but can anyone recommend any other useful tools for identifying gaps in the market? Any advice? I understand that this is the most important part of building a profitable e-commerce site, so it won't be easy. But it's hard to know where to begin.
